Sunday School

“Let everything take second place to the care of our children, our bringing them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. If from the beginning we teach them to love true wisdom, they will have greater wealth and glory than riches can provide.”
– St. John Chrysostom

The education our children receive in school, while valuable, does not fully prepare them to face the moral challenges of today’s world. Without spiritual formation, they risk losing the moral compass needed to make righteous and faithful choices.
Through Sunday School, we seek to nurture a balance of intellectual learning and spiritual growth, rooted firmly in the Orthodox faith. Here, children learn the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as preserved in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. They also grow in Christian friendships and fellowship, building bonds that strengthen their journey in Christ.
Most importantly, Sunday School helps them develop a strong moral and spiritual foundation to guide their lives both inside and outside the Church. For this reason, parents are encouraged to see Sunday School as an essential complement to academic learning, providing the spiritual grounding every child needs to walk faithfully with Christ.

Bible Study

Our Orthodox Bible Study provides a living encounter with the Word of God as it has been received, preserved, and lived within the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. More than an academic study, it is a spiritual journey into Holy Scripture through the life, worship, and Tradition of the Church.
Through guided discussion of the Word, participants deepen their understanding of the Bible and grow closer to Christ, learning how God’s Word is lived out in prayer, fasting, repentance, and daily life.
Whether you are new to the faith or seeking to grow deeper, this study offers a place for spiritual growth and transformation.
